Before Caden came along, we took a yearly trip to Florida to visit family. It was always our little getaway and was so much fun! We didn't get a chance to go down in fall of 2010 or 2011 so we felt this was overdue :) We squeezed in so much family time in just a few days that my head spins when I think about it!
We embarked on our trip in the middle of the night.. K went right back to sleep despite all of Caden's singing and laughing!
We were in the midst of Atlanta and rush hour traffic was just starting. Caden woke up and wanted OUT! So he got to eat his very first Oreo to keep him happy... and let K sleep a bit longer!
Once we were outside of ATL, we stopped for breakfast. There was a Denny's and the kids loved the music :)
We made it to Gainesville!!!
We checked into our hotel room, grabbed some food and then walked around the UF campus. Of course, we stopped at Poppa's brick on the Gator Walk!
Caden with Poppa's brick. Maybe he's our next Florida linebacker? He certainly has the genes for it!
K was pretty exhausted and we were trying to prevent meltdowns. We found a campus shop and K fell in love with this hat! hehe
We all fell asleep at 7PM that night! HAH! Caden of course was wide awake the next day at 6:30 so he and I went for breakfast while K and Daddy slept in a bit.
After we all ate, we got ready and met up with the Kelley's for brunch and then to get ready for Mike's big graduation!!!
YEAH!!!! Uncle Mikey Mike!!!
After the graduation, we met up with Nana & Pa and dropped the kids off with them! Jeremy and I checked into our hotel room, changed and then went to the graduation party in Orlando!
As an added bonus, Mike & Chandy announced the gender of their baby!!! It's another girl for the Kelley family! Sweet Charlotte will be surrounded with more love and snuggles than she'll know what to do with :)
Two more Kelley babies on the way!
One major bonus was that we scored a night away from the kids! When we walked into our room, we noticed there were two beds. We were both so exhausted that we totally slept in separate beds. Jeremy sleeps like a cage fighter and rips ALL of the sheets and blankets off the bed! I like to slide right it and stay nice and snug in my little cocoon. Can you tell who slept in which bed?
Good morning Orlando!
Mother's Day. We went to church with Nana and Pa, where my Mom surprised them! We went out to lunch, announced baby #3 to Nana and then went out Aunt Signe's house to swim and have dinner. It was a FAMILY packed Mother's day :) The kids loved the pool!!!
Light saber? Bubble Wand? No difference!
On Monday, we went to Disney with Nana! This was the first ride we did. Of course, Mommy is the only one who likes the tea cups. K LOVED them!
This was mid-ride. I'm so glad to have a Tea Cup buddy!!
Caden taking a snooze while Daddy rode a few rides with K.
Jeremy has several more pics on his phone. I'll have to get them off one of these days. I was too busy juggling little ones and trying to not get overly nauseous with the heat and morning sickness combo :-\
Our dinner was so yummy! K's came with milk and cookies and she thought it was the best thing ever. The milk was served in a small tea cup which was just her size!
On Tuesday we ventured back home. We spent the night in GA and then took the kids to the Tennessee Aquarium on the way home. It was a mini belated mothers day celebration!
The best part was that the kids were EXHAUSTED after running around the aquarium. They both slept the rest of the way home!
Our Florida trip was great and a very fun time. We always love going. This trip seemed too short but it's better than nothing!!
