Trip to Chicago

Well we just returned from a quick tip to Chicago. My mom's brother, David passed away on Thursday after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). We were able to spend a lot of time with family and close friends; Kinsley met many of them for the first time.
One of the many looks...
Start em' young!
All bundled up! It was 1* when we were getting the rental car!
Waking up on Saturday morning! Look at that hair!
Tummy time on the ottoman with NaNa!
Kinsley & Shane (my cousin's baby)Give me a hug!
Harreld-Kelley family (minus Alea).. dinner at Nicolinos after Dave's funeral. Dave & Lisa's good friends, Joe & Barb own the restaurant. The food was DELICIOUS!
Mark (dad's brother), Judy, Ryan, Sean & Rachel came too!
Mom was sitting at the bar... no one could believe it! Mom sitting at the bar, drinking a strawberry margarita & eating dinner.. she said that's what Dave would have wanted! :-)

Matt & I
Tiff (sporting the new braces) & Matt
Turbo & I
Rachel, Turbo & I
Matt & Mom
COUSINS! Us four with David & Lisa's two kids, Alyssa & William

It was a beautiful funeral. The place was packed out!!! It was very touching to see how many people showed up or as I like to see it, how many people David had impacted along the way. It was a military funeral which concluded with a bugler playing Taps, folding the flag and a 21 gun salute. Believe me, there wasn't a dry eye in the crowd!

As God takes one away, He blesses us with one more! My brother, Matt and his wife Alea found out today that they are having a BOY! At the moment this is his name ________ Scott Harreld. They haven't decided on a first name yet!
