Here's a few updates on my sweet little man...
- On Friday at our 2 week visit, he weighed in at 7lbs even. He weighed 6lbs 8oz @ birth and 6lbs even at our 2 day visit so he's gained a whole pound in 10 days! What a great little eater.
- He's still in newborn diapers. I had to put some size 1's on him to hold us over and they almost come up to his nipples... HAH
- We're starting to find a routine of him eating at 8:40 and going to bed at 9:00pm. He usually sleeps in his bed until 12, eats and goes back to sleep again. Its just the start of a routine but its nice!
- He poops about 10 times a day!
- He's quite gassy... poor thing! I'm trying to really watch what I eat, but the Colic Tablets have helped a bunch.
- He's going through a growth spurt and wants to eat ALL day long.
- We had to go to Kohls and buy him some newborn sized outfits. We have some onesies and sleepers but bought some one piece rompers that are more "going out outfits".
- He had his first tub bath on Wednesday night. He slept through the entire thing... until I tried to put lotion on him.
- He has officially taken a liking to his paci... which I love!
- Yesterday, we took him downtown Ft.Worth to the Stockyards. I'm certain its the first of many trips :o)
- Yesterday night, he pooped in the bath for the first time... LOVELY!
- Today, he peed all over me and the couch... LOVELY, once again!
- Today, Easter Sunday, he went to church for the very first time. It was so much fun enjoying all of the "oooooo"s and "ahhhhh"s over him.
On Friday, we went to our postpartum visit and then took a trip to Walmart
Caden's very first tub bath :D
Caden's very first outting to see Uncle Simon! He was in town for work so we couldn't resist meeting up with him and introducing the newest Kelley kiddo!
Mommy & Caden downtown. He loves his Baby Bjorn just like his sister :o) Best money we've ever spent. It was just too hot to use the Moby Wrap :(
Caden was wiped out after our trip downtown!
Mommy Update
- I'm about 4lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight
- I'm adjusting to the sleep deprivation... Caden is a pretty good sleeper, but it seems like he sleeps great every other night which can be a little exhausting!
- Jeremy had a lot of time off last week (which won't be fun when that paycheck comes this week) so that allowed me a lot more time to rest!
Kinsley Update
- So far, she's been pretty understanding of Caden needing Mommy's attention.
- She really thrives after some alone time with Mommy so we're scheduling a lot more of that this week.
- She really thinks she's Caden's 2nd Mommy. She wants to change his diaper (every 10 mns), give him his paci (even if he's completely asleep), hug and kiss him like crazy, and wants to hold him all day (even though it lasts for about 15 secomds and then she's done).
