Last weekend, we went downtown Ft.Worth for their egg hunt. It was at the Stockyards and we were anticipating it to be pretty good. IT WAS AWFUL! :o( They just marked off 50ft x 50ft squares of grass and literally dumped boxes of individually wrapped marshmallow eggs all over the grass. When they said go, the kids ran like crazy. Some kids got 100 eggs and some got none!
Luckily Kinsley was still too young to be too disappointed. We love taking her down to the Stockyards and it was Caden's first trip so we tried to make the best of it!
Kinsley couldn't get enough of the petting zoo. She probably would have stayed in there for hours if it wasn't so crowded and hot.
For those of you who don't know - Kinsley LOVES animals from a distance, but freaks out when they are close up. Jeremy and I couldn't believe how she was trying to pet all of the animals and even let them eat out of her hand!
We even paid $5 to let her sit on the longhorn. She didn't want to get off and fussed like crazy when her turn was over.
WOAH! Don't be blinded from my super white skin! HAHA
Caden got a little too toasty in the Baby Bjorn so he took a turn in the stroller! We really should have taken the double stroller but I'm kinda glad we didnt because it would have been hard to navigate it around all of the crowds and uneven roads!
We stopped off at a picnic table to enjoy our packed lunches. KK was SO hungry!
We were all wiped out once we got home! All 4 of us napped! :o) Caden napped with Momma on the couch.
Easter Morning! She was checking out her Easter basket from Mimi & Papa. The "Easter Mimi" got her a kite!
Caden wasn't too sure what all the excitement was about but he was interested.
K was thrilled to not only go through her basket but to open up her baby brothers.
Watch your baskets! K will take whosever she can find!
Here's Caden with his Uncle Matt's easter basket!
Headed home from church. She was in need of a little snack before lunch!
Attempt #1 at a family picture - Caden was too hungry for pictures!
Pose #2
Pose # 3 - I had to post this one - K really wanted to give her "bubby" (as she refers to him) a big smooch!
We finally got a decent one! WOOO!
AND then there was the Easter Egg Hunt done by the wonderful Mimi!
It was a wonderful Easter! We're still snacking on the Easter candy, but it's almost gone... thankfully!
